"Well, B confidential & The Secret 4 have done it again! Back with their 2nd slab o’ wax on Martin’s Garage Records (Slovenia) - and back with a vengeance I might add - the boys demonstrate what a diverse and dynamic group they truly are. This time the lads lay down some hard-driving English Soul via London’s mid/late 60’s Mod scene with a top form work-out on Jack Hammer’s classic 1968 single “Down The Subway” - AND ALSO - serve up some hard-driving Texas Garage, Blues, & Psych via their ultra-hip cover of The Pirate’s obscuro 1966 side “Cuttin’ Out” - and these cats don’t miss a beat! B. Confidential let’s loose on both of these ragers demonstrating that not only does he possess the velvet-smooth pipes we heard on their last single, he can heat it up and sling some Rock & Roll fire and fury with the best of ‘em. Now, aside from the impeccable guitar work here by both Dalibor and Bruno (can you say performance AND tone for days?!), we gotta give some serious props to The Secret 4’s slammin’ rhythm section on both of these hard rollin’ sides - excellent! Nailed here also is the sound of this record - think mid/late 60’s - classic! And of course it doesn’t hurt one bit to have legendary Garage Rock voodoo guru Mike Mariconda (The Raunch Hands, Devil Dogs, etc.) manning the the mix & master controls! Like I said last time folks, do your ears favor and snatch this record up soon as you can!” - Evan Douglas Foster (The Boss Martians. The Sonics)
